tennisMusic is based on the 2003 Wimbledon Women's Final tennis match between Venus and Serena Williams. The music was composed by relating where the ball bounced on the horizontal tennis court to a vertical division of pitches. The timing was systematized from the actions and duration of each point. tennisMusic has been arranged for 14 person ensemble and septet.

musicTennis is a translation from musical action to physical action: the intervallic structure of music compositions are used to determine a strategy of ball placement on the tennis court. This strategy is then used to play competetive tennis. The musicTennis player uses a programmable micro-computer that is worn like a watch and instructs the player where to hit the ball. These instructions are determined by relating the vertical space of pitch intervals in the music to the horizontal space of the tennis court. John Cage, Ornette Coleman, Annie Gosfield and Morton Feldman are among the musicians whose compositions have been translated into musicTennis.
