Walk Radio: A talk show about walking

It has been three-and-a-half million years since humans freed their hands from knuckle walking and now each person has a unique walk signature. Walk Radio is a live play-by-play commentary of the walk signatures within the audience of the Whitney Biennial 2008.

Physical semiology reduces to language the unique mechanics of bipedalism. The project started as a way to classify the grammer of body language in order to stage actors for film scenes or choreograph dancers.

Listeners are encouraged to come to 941 Madison Avenue, NYC during the opening for live public walk readings and a free copy of the Physical Semiology chart to read along with the radio show.
