On Monday January 16 1995 at 2:00 p.m. at 731 Florida Street in San Francisco, CA, I placed one 3.5"x2" orthoptic eye patch over each eye and concealed the patches with cataract sunglasses. I exchanged my sight for a collapsable cane for the blind and the arm of collaborator Brett Cline, who aided in escorting me around the city, to the zoo, bars, restaurants and on public transportation. I was "blind" until Wednesday, January 18 1995 at 2:00 a.m. at 647 Valencia Street in San Francisco, CA.
